WELCOME TO HARMONS’ BUILDING

Located at 111 Banff Avenue, Banff, Alberta

Established by renowned mountain photographer Byron Harmon in 1906, the property continues to be owned and operated by the Harmon family, having been passed down through four generations. Over the years, the building has housed an array of local businesses, including a movie theatre, fountain lunch, drugstore, snowboard shop, publishing house, and many iterations of family–run, photography–based businesses.

OUR TENANTS

The current Harmons’ building is a mixed–use commercial, office, and residential space with a walkthrough laneway, long referred to as Harmony Lane, connecting Banff Avenue and the Town Hall on Bear Street. The public spaces of the building have been curated with photographs taken by three generations of Harmons and interpretive panels that guide visitors through the story of one of Banff’s early families. Come check out the many businesses and services that the building has to offer and visit a unique cultural space in the middle of busy Banff Avenue.

EXCITING THINGS ARE ON THE WAY!

Watch out for the multiple new businesses that will be opening in our building in the coming weeks and months. While we renovate, the second floor is alive and kicking. Come up and support the wonderful people who have been slogging through a loud and dusty winter.
